Stock market investing for dummies
Are you a beginner and want to learn how to invest in stocks? wanting to get involved in stock market investing can be intimidating and yes, learning how to invest in stocks can make you feel like a dummy.
The upside is you are not a dummy because dummies do nothing. If you are looking to learn how to invest in stocks, this is a great time. The reason why investing in stocks is a great idea, especially now is because the stock market is currently undervalued.
Actually, the best time to invest in stocks was about five or six months ago when the Dow industrial average dropped to all-time lows. It is currently in the 9000 range and while that is not necessarily the greatest, it is still much lower than its peak at 14,000. What this means is that there are some really great companies out there that have stock values that are much lower based on their earnings.
So, how do you learn stock market investing for dummies?
The first recommendation that I have for you regarding learning stock market investing, or learning how to buy stocks to get a lot of beginner Stock market investing books.
In these investing books, you will learn a lot about the basics. What is really important is that you learn how to understand a company's financials and understand how to place a value on a company. You need to learn how to read a financial statement, you know you need to learn how to read a balance sheet, and you need to know how to read a cash flow statement.
It is also important for you to understand how to read a company's quarterly reports and a company's annual report.
It is also a good idea to understand or learn how to understand a particular market that accompany competes in. As an example if you were to buy stock in Dell computers, you would need to know how the Dell computers competes in the PC computer arena.
Once you learn how to understand whether a company has a great future potential that you can assign a value to what the stock price should be.
In general, would you assess and know what a stock price should be that you can compare it to what the stock price actually is. For example, let's say you establish a stock price to be $20 and the stock is selling on the market for seven dollars. That could be a great stock to buy.
A couple of great books to read on stock market investing would be beating the Street by Peter Lynch, and a great book to read about stock market investing is the Motley fool.
Once you get a good understanding of how to value a company, the next thing you need to do is understand how the stock market works and how to buy stocks.
One of the recommendations that I have two sign up for an online stock market game. There are many different kinds of programs that allow you to buy stocks online with a fantasy account basically when you buy stocks using this kind of account, you get to create your own stock portfolio and track it. You can see how well can take and value stocks.
Once you are comfortable, then it makes sense to look at stocks you're interested in and buy some. One of the methods of stock market investing is to regularly purchase stocks. That way you buy a variety of stocks in all stock market conditions. The net average of your gains should outperform the market.
One thing to remember, investing in stocks does occur risk. Part of the benefit of the reward is having to incur risk. What I'm trying to say is that investing in stocks does not guarantee that you will make money you can lose money by investing in stocks. However, by doing your own homework and making smart choices, you can enjoy healthy and sizable gains.
When starting out buying stocks online, you may want to consider buying solid companies and being more conservative. Two great stock pickers, Peter Lynch, and Warren Buffett have some similarities between them. They buy boring solid companies that are out undervalued. That seems to be their secret.
So, don't be a dummy get educated about stock market investing and get in the game. The best dummies guide to stock investing will come from getting information and getting real hand experience.

"The small stock trader" by Mika is also a small unique book that covers almost all the major stock market topics such as the traits of a successful small stock trader, how to choose a few simple focus stocks, market sentiment and industry, fundamental analysis, technical analysis, short selling, your edge and competition, catalysts that move the stock prices, stock trading plan, discipline, risk management and psychology. It is a simple book of about 100 small-sized pages (more like a collection of tips, perhaps 4-5 hours read), but it will answer many of your questions, so, it is a great book to start (no need to mention that about 90% of your lessons you are going to learn from your own experience/mistakes). It is also a fun-to-read book, as it is accompanied by a few jokes and observations from poker, intelligence world, relationships, happiness, Zen, and psychology.
